It’s been quite a while since Audrey & Scarlett have seen the blog…I thought I’d share a little impromptu session that I did with them a little while back. Rachael dropped them off at my studio for a while and of course I couldn’t get ANYTHING done with them there. So…we took some pictures :) They’ve gone through stages of how they act in front of the camera. Most of the time they just ignore me…but that day, they were just hilarious.
then we decided to go inside for a few…
They got a little dance fever :)
annnnd finally…this one ended up being our Christmas card…love it.

baye, tango, & megan

My sister Megan has been riding horses since…well since I can remember really. As a child she spent many summer days at Circle K riding, training, and working. She now boards her two horses Baye & Tango there … we went out to visit them on Sunday. (As a side note…I’ve processed all of the “black & white” shots with a new formula that I’ve been playing with…what do you think?)

Meet Tango – The girls say he’s a good kisser.
This is Baye – I think she’s almost 2. She’s gorgeous.
She stuck her tongue out at me!
(Photographer side note: Although it doesn’t look like it, this barn was pretty dark. I shot these two at ISO 3200 with my 5D Mark II. Very low noise in my opinion. It’s great in low light.)

As you’ve probably noticed…I’m “back” posting to catch up on sessions that I did recently but before my new blog was up and running.

A couple of months ago I shot a lifestyle session for this brother and sister duo from McMinnville. Eli & Clara were super sweet. Are they good lookin kids or what? They made my job so easy :) These are just a few of my favorites.

As a parent you notice and appreciate things about your children that others may or may not see they way you do. Something that Clara’s mom wanted me to capture was her beautiful eyes and eyelashes. WOW…they’re soooo long! – just beautiful.
Eli was showing me to trap a ball playing soccer…he also show me how to hit one with his head :)
Clara’s favorite baby doll made a few appearances :) This will be my youngest (Scarlett) in a few years. She has to have a baby everywhere we go. So sweet.
Brothers and sisters have such a unique and special friendship. I love this picture.

jack [3 years] & lowery [3 months]

A few months ago I shot Jack & Lowery’s 3 year & 3 month pictures. Their awesome parents Ryan & Julie Wiggins are great friends of ours. On a crazy side note: Jack and our daughter Audrey were born within 4 hours of each other, so we got to experience becoming new parents together just a few delivery rooms away :).

Here’s the one and only Jack.
This is one of Jack’s killer dance moves that his dad taught him.
Beautiful Lowery – her eyes are amazing!
She was such a trooper up until this point.
We changed locations and she was all better :)
Thanks Wiggins! Oh yeah…I also shot a few pictures with their Christmas outfits on and custom designed their Christmas card. Ask about my custom card design for annoucements, birthdays, greeting cards…etc…
