So October is super duper crazy busy and I love it but the blog is definitely lonely. I thought I’d show you a single image from Chung & Marc’s wedding. This is the first time I’ve attempted a photo like this so, yes, I know it could be much better…but I thought it turned out pretty cool for my first try! I hadn’t planned on doing this so I had limited gear to pull it off… Until next time :)

You might remember megan & justin from there engagement session … They killed it! Their wedding day was no different…They were such a pleasure to work with and to top it all off they had the incredible Mary Alice of A Delightful Day to make sure everything was perfect for the day….I could have posted the entire wedding.

we shot in two different bathrooms on their engagment session…so we HAD to shoot in the men’s bathroom at the Frist Center :)

Abril + Henry [Day After] sorta kinda :)

To clarify…Henry & Abril’s shoot was actually on the day of their wedding. So why call it a day after shoot? Here’s the story. I got a call from Henry just a couple of weeks before he and Abril were supposed to get married. They’d already planned everything to do with the wedding including a photographer to capture most of the day. After seeing my ad in the winter/spring 09 issue Tulle Abril decided that she’d like to get some shots by me as well. After explaining my day after sessions and meeting with me, they decided to book it…but on the day of :) Since your wedding day is pretty hectic…here’s some of my favorites from what we came up with in 1 hour at their reception site Twin Oaks. Thanks so much Abril & Henry!

sam + kristina [married]

Whew! This one has been a long time coming…Sam & Kristina, like so many of my clients, just feel like good friends after spending such a special time with them…I also shot their engagement session so they were super relaxed with me and my camera on the beautiful day at DelMonaco Winery. Their wedding was a blast and I’m so glad that they chose me to be a part of it.

Sam & Kristina decided to see each other before the wedding, which I always recommend :) but we still got some more shots later in the day when the light was better.

Kristina and her sisters did the entire dance from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video…it was awesome!

sarah + hunter [married]

Sarah & Hunter are an awesome couple…you may remember their crazybooth pics :) I was so excited to shoot their wedding at the beautiful Scarritt Bennett Center in Nashville. That excitment turned into fear when it rained the whole way to Nashville. It continued to rain all day but Sarah & Hunter didn’t act like it bothered them at all and we still came away with some beautiful images to remember their day.
After the ceremony everyone headed downtown to the reception site which was a very cool place called A Venue. We managed to get about 10 minutes there without any rain!
Sarah also changed into her pink cowboys boots that she wore in their engagement shoot.
Thanks to Sarah & Hunter for allowing Rachael & I to be a part of your day. Also, thanks to the incredible Mary Alice and her team at A Delightful Day Event Planning for a seamless experience.

So this is very cool! Sarah and Hunter’s engagement picks just got featured on A Delightful Day’s blog. Mary Alice and her talented team have planned this super cool couple’s big day. I can’t wait to work with them this Saturday!

the latest Tulle for Weddings issue is out!

So as some of you know my wife Rachael owns and operates Tulle for Weddings magazine. She “hires” me to do the layout, design, and photography for the magazine. We really have a great time with it. We’re proud to announce the the winter/spring 09 issue is hot off the press. Rachael has spent the past few days hitting the roads (watch out for the speeding silver volvo) distributing many of the 10,000 copies that we print all over the Upper Cumberland Region. We’ll also be at the Magic Moments Bridal Show on Sunday. Brides will all get a copy in their gift bags at the door.
